Lincoln Wheat Cent

The Lincoln Wheat Cent was minted between 1909 and 1958. Victor David Brenner designed the Lincoln Wheat Cent. The composition of the Wheat cent has changed several time. Between 1909 and 1942, it was composed of 0.95 copper and 0.05 combination of Tin and Zinc. Lincoln Wheat Cent minted in 1943 had 100% steel plated with Zinc. And between 1944 and 1945, it was made of 0.95 copper and 0.05 Zinc. Later on it was changed back to 0.95 copper and 0.05 Tin and Zinc. Some 1909-S VDB coin can sell hundreds or even thousands of dollars.
